It's very dangerous.

VEMF is an infection that is very contagious and is the kind of thing that could last for a number of years.

Symptoms include:
- rhythmic spasms of muscles in a uniform fashion, particularly causing the waving of arms and involuntary vocal noises
- a greater susceptibility to alcohol and other mood-altering substances
- Chronic Smiling Syndrome, known to cause minor pain in the lower back
- You may or may not find yourself attracted to shiny objects and fuzzy things.
-An intense desire to hug and/or snuggle may occur

SHOULD YOU OR A FRIEND GET INFECTED, take the following precautions:
- Wear clothing of a particularly fuzzy or brightly coloured design, so as to quell the desires to touch fuzzy things and get distracted by shiny objects. Blinking lights are especially helpful to aid in identifying an infected person.
- Since any other infected member will obviously be suffering, provide them with hugs and cuddles so as to reduce pain and suffering
- Support local businesses that have been known to act as temporary sanctuaries for those infected with VEMF, as they will need your support. Most of these charities will be operating in the evening after the major gatherings of those infected.

Some of these charities include:

- Lucky Bar
- Sunset Room
- Jellyfish Lounge
- Base Lounge

WARNING! If you become infected, do not, REPEAT DO NOT, attempt the following:
- during muscle spasms, closing eyes whiles directing muscular movement in such an intense manner (a.k.a. "flailing") that you hit those around you.
- imbibe substances such as alcohol or narcotics, and attempt to drive or operate heavy machinery
- have sex with other infected individuals without adequate birth control and/or STD protection. Members of both genders are encouraged to keep condoms in their possession at all times.
